Clay Dailey is the proud owner of the 1956 T-Bird that entered film legend as
the car the mysterious blonde drove around town in for AMERICAN GRAFFITI.
The car was literally parked on the street and a production manager left a note and the phone number. Dailey called, and soon, Suzanne Somers was seated behind the wheel. An incredible car, it went over 110,000 miles with the original engine - not a single overhaul. On average, the car gets a whopping 17 miles to the gallon - an accomplishment that most new cars can’t compete with! For the film, the car was left totally intact - with one exception: a cardboard license plate circa 1962 was attached to the car! AMERICAN GRAFFITI and the T-Bird - both certifiable American classics! |
